New Signature Cocktail

Henhouse Maria

  • 2 oz Herradura Reposado (or your fave tequilla)

  • 2 oz Sangrita

Sangrita (makes 5-10 servings)

  • 5 oz Tomato Juice

  • 3 oz Orange Juice

  • 1 oz Lime Juice

  • 1/2 oz Worcestershire

  • 1/2 oz Olive Juice

  • 1/2 tsp Tabasco

  • 1/2 tsp Celery Salt

  • Pinch of black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp Horseradish (optional)

*Sangrita was historically used as a “shot chaser” to a tequilla shot. Thanks to expert Mixologist, Joseph Murphy, for bringing this idea into an original signature martini just for the eDiscovery Chicks!

Shake tequila and sangrita with ice, strain, and serve in a martini glass. Garnish with salted rim, skewered pickle, lime, or olive.

Bree’s Recipe for Salt Rim

  • 1 Tbls Tajin

  • 1 Tbls Sea Salt

  • 1 Tbls Celery Salt

  • Zest of 1 lime

Mix together and let blend for 24 hours.

physically forgotten

  • 1½ oz gin

  • ¾ oz Cynar

  • ½ oz Luxardo

  • 2 dashes orange bitters

  • lemon peel

Shake the gin, Cynar, Luxardo, bitters, and ice. Strain into a chilled coupe glass (Nick & Nora glasses also work) and garnish with lemon peel.

Angie’s tip: twist the lemon peel over the drink so that the oil splashes onto its surface.

Bloody mary martini

  • 2 oz vodka

  • splash dry vermouth

  • olive brine, to taste

  • Demitri’s bloody mary seasoning, to taste

Rinse a martini glass with vermouth, then discard. Shake vodka, olive brine, Demitri’s, and ice. Garnish with olives, cornichons, and whatever else tickles your fancy.

Angie’s tip: add anything you’d typically add to a bloody mary as a garnish, and adjust the seasoning to your taste.
